Internationalizing the Curriculum

Award Application

This award will support full or part time faculty members who propose developing new courses, course modules, course activities, faculty resources, or other such projects that will internationalize the curriculum at Santa Fe College. One to three non-instructional units (NIUs) worth $744 each will be given to award recipients. Please direct any questions or comments regarding this opportunity to Dr. Vilma Fuentes (ext. 5030 or F252). The award application is due electronically to by September 15.
Please answer all of the following information using as much space as necessary:

3. Overview of the proposed activity: Describe the activity you are proposing. What courses will you be targeting? Explain how you will internationalize the targeted course(s). What specific activities will be undertaken with the grant funds?
4. Impact on Curriculum: Explain how your proposed project is expected to impact the Santa Fe College curriculum and student learning outcomes.
5. Student Impact: How many students do you expect to be enrolled in the course(s) you will be targeting? How many sections of this course are taught each year? How many students normally enroll in them overall?
6. Assessment: How will you assess the impact of your work? How will you assess its impact on student learning?
7. The domino effect: Please explain how the activity you are proposing will be shared with other faculty in your department. How will this activity benefit others outside of those enrolled in the course being targeted for improvement? How can the impact of this work be extended beyond the grant period?
8. Timeframe: When will you develop these proposed activities? When will the targeted course(s) be offered? When will your proposed project be implemented? (All funded activities should occur in the Fall, Spring or Summer A).
