Students will do 12 Mayan math problems.
They will also take a small quiz about the Mayan culture.
Students will read various tongue twisters and words to demonstrate pronunciation.
Student will greet the teacher using appropriate greeting. Give small quiz with different situations.
Give small multiple choice quiz of a few key items. Hold up items and have kids write down the answer. Have a word bank on the board to help them.
Have the students individually say the months and days to the teacher. Give a small quiz writing down the months and days in Spanish. Write days in Spanish using various dates.
Students will take a small multiple choice quiz on Costa Rica. Locate and identify places and products of Costa Rica.
Give small multiple choice quiz having students identify the number of objects in each picture.
Students will respond to questions from the teacher with appropriate answers. Students will physically respond to commands given by teacher.
Teacher will give multiple choice and fill in the blank test to review concepts learned.
Teacher will have students write an opinion paragraph using Six Traits. Students must express their like or dislike of the sport of bullfighting. Students will also take a short multiple choice quiz over bullfighting at the end of the unit.
Have students write down 5 things they like and 5 things they don't in Spanish. Post them in the room. Do "Me gusta y No me gusta" worksheet.
Do an "All about me: Poster. Have students write what they are like in Spanish. Post it in the classroom.
Students will take a quiz about Argentina.
Give a short quiz where students must write down their schedule in Spanish.
Teacher says a time in Spanish and students will show the answer on the plastic clocks provided. Give a quiz using blank clocks. Say the time in Spanish, have the students demonstrate it on their paper.
Students will take a quiz over activities. They will look at the pictures and write whether the person likes or dislikes the activity shown.
Students will read and answer questions about Inca culture with the Inca reading.
Students will attempt to build a bridge, on a smaller scale, as the Inca did in their time.
They will be graded on group work, individual work and their bridge's strength. We will hang books on the bridge until it breaks to test their workmanship. Students will answer 5 questions explaining how their team built their bridge.
Students will identify the color of objects shown by the teacher. Students will take a quiz identifying the colors of several objects in Spanish.
Students will make a family tree and label each member of their family appropriately in Spanish. Post them in the classroom.
Students will write descriptive sentences about various pictures of people and things shown in Spanish.
Students will do the Mulan movie packet They will also practice their descriptions and family vocabulary by writing about the characters in Mulan in Spanish.
Students will take a multiple choice quiz naming various foods shown in Spanish.
Students will take a quiz over the information learned about Aztec culture.
Students will take a multiple choice quiz about the History of chocolate. /
