Scarborough Faire’s® Turkey Legs provide base of support for Food Network Unwrapped series’, “Anatomy of Food”
Waxahachie, TX (September 1, 2004) – Food Network’s Unwrapped is using local renaissance festival Scarborough Faire’s® Giant Turkey Legs as part of its series, “Anatomy of Food”. According to Scarborough Faire® Marketing Associate, Sara Hatch, “We were contacted by High Noon productions, producer of Unwrapped, before our season last spring. They asked if we were interested in having them use our turkey legs for a segment of their show. Apparently, someone told them that we have the best turkey legs that they had ever had.”
High Noon productions taped the segment on opening day of last year’s festival with General Manager, Coy Sevier as the Scarborough spokesperson. “It was a lot of fun”, Sevier recalled. “There is so much happening that you never see on TV. It takes quite a few people to get the taping done. Our kitchens are rather small so we did the interview outside.”

According to Sevier, three things make the Scarborough Faire® Giant Turkey Legs unique: 1. Each turkey leg is a full pound, 2. Scarborough Faire® turkey legs are roasted, leaving them more moist and succulent than a smoked turkey leg, and 3. Scarborough turkey legs are seasoned with Royal Spice, a custom blended secret seasoning mix exclusive to Scarborough Faire®. Royal Spice is available for purchase by calling 972-938-3247.
Scarborough Faire® Renaissance Festival is a recreated 16th Century English village whose twenty fifth anniversary season will begin on Saturday April 9 and end on Memorial Day, May 30.
