· Cyber safety- how’s your school policy
· Bishopdale - to seek permission when photos are being put on the internet
· Lyttleton Main - a blanket letter to all about permission for names and photos
· Lyttleton West - permission is sought when students enrol
· Heaton - permission is given at enrolment, students sign an individual contract, internet times out to not allow lunchtime access
· Chisnalwood - similar to Heaton, frustration over tight boundaries around what is accessible
· Cybersafety is a need that is being addressed by schools in different ways. Examples of letters could be linked to port hills wiki
· Creation of a rubric for tracking teacher and students use of IT in school
· Examples to be provided to allow lead teachers to create a tracking teachers progress and to indentify next steps. A rubric will be planned for
· Discussion of how things are going so far in school with application of new skills
· Schools have shared ideas learning with teachers via a staff meeting. Some schools have established buddies etc.
· Seniors have moved more quickly than juniors as the students can take a lead.
· Teaching staff are aware of the aims and the direction that could be taken. Schools have spent the past term looking at their own systems.
· Lead teachers have been examining their own class programmes and then exploring how these can connect.
· Important that staff do not feel the pressure to complete the standard / prescribed activity
· Practicum overview- Digital Literacy in regards to using ICT in building creativity in classrooms
· The next practicuum will focus on a some easy class based programme for use within the class programme. This will include comic life, photo story and scrap booking.
· These may be suitable for other teachers from your school. Suggestions or requests could be forwarded to Nick.
· Need to explore ways to meet the very practical basic needs of staff. We could consider holding open staff meeting with a specific purpose.
· How we want our sharing sessions to go?
· The intention is to increase the social/collaborative aspect of these sessions. The next session will be at Chisnalwood early next term. The planned format will be 3.30 welcome, go to seperate rooms as a breakout focus. Presentations will be delivered once for a duration of about 20 or 30 minutes followed by drinks/mingle and share.
· Examples might be to share a wiki, how have you included ICT in your programme.
· Nick will send an invitation/request for people to share their work.
· Lisa and Nick to discuss the practicality of getting access to ICT requirements
