Position responsibilities include: assisting in managing staff, staff scheduling, and program development and promotion. Participation in running home meets, coaching at away meets, age group swimming, and masters swimming practices. The Head Age Group Coach is responsible for working with the Director of Competitive Swimming and our Team Administrator in overall administration and organization of the competitive swimming program for the Greensboro Community YMCA, the GCY Makos. In addition, every position in the YMCA of Greensboro is responsible for upholding the Judeo-Christian principles that are central to our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify the four pillars of character - caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Preferred qualifications: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of coaching experience, an ASCA Level 2 certification, and supervisory experience. A degree in Recreation, Health, Physical Education, Coaching or related field is preferred. Candidates must enjoy working with kids; have strong verbal communication skills, and be an excellent role model displaying the YMCA core values.

Starting Wage Range: $10.75 - $13.25 an hour

Position: PROGRAM COORDINATOR Branch: Reidsville Family

Supervised by: Executive Director

Job Summary: The Program Coordinator is responsible for helping to supervise and facilitate a variety of youth programs as well as providing support for wellness and membership at the Reidsville YMCA. Specific tasks related to this position include scheduling, program management, and serving as a camp counselor, membership staff, or child care staff as needed. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with children, teens, adults and seniors and with helping to supervise programs including YMCA Summer Day Camp, Playzone, Energy Factory, and After School. This position will also assist the Regional Membership Director and Regional Program Director with administrative tasks. In addition, every position in the YMCA of Greensboro is responsible for upholding the Judeo-Christian principles that are central to our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify the four pillars of character - caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 seasons working in a childcare, youth sports, or camp environment as well as membership experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Nationally Recognized training or coursework in childcare, child abuse prevention, and/or child safety training.
