Skating Party! Next Friday, January 19, for everyone in the school and society. This is NOT a school event and not reserved ice time, just a chance for everyone to get your own family there and pay your own fees (see below). It’s a regular public session going from 1:00 till 5:00 P.M. People could head over to the

rink right from school if they wish—the ice is best before 3:00 P.M. when the nearby schools get out. There will be games for the little ones. Maybe—outside chance—Jan Tremer will do one last 6th through 12th grade figure skating lesson for those girls who wish. (Fee for ice time is $6.50/adults and $6/youth, which is 18 and under. Skate rentals are $3.) Feel free to call me with questions at 484-505-8192. Kate

KNCS Geography Bee! You are invited to witness the fun – and maybe learn a lot! – at 10:15 A.M. on Tuesday, January 23. Our blossoming geographers in the 5th through 8th grades are gearing up, with the contestants yet to emerge. An audience will be warmly welcomed.

13 KNC/KNCS Care Packages will go out in about one month – to 5 young women and 8 young men.

IOWAs Heads-up to KNCS Parents: These will be administered to Grades 3-8 from Monday, April 16 through Monday, April 30. It would be helpful to the teachers if you could avoid taking your children out of classes during that period. Thanks.

Help needed! The Kempton Fool’s Guild’s production of Cheaper by the Dozen is in full swing, but we are looking for help with costumes, props, sets, and sound. If you are interested in helping out with any of these, please contact me. Any assistance you can offer is much appreciated!

“Music Together!” My winter classes begin next week. 9:45 A.M. for 9 weeks. Held in Kempton in the barn studio on my property. I have two spots available for the Friday class (starting the 19th). Music Together is for children from birth to age six and the caregivers that love them! We sing songs, use poetry, and do fun dances with a multi-age crew. Great way to connect with other mamas too! It includes a fully illustrated song book, CD, and pass code to Music Together International and all their site has to offer for your little ones. Not to mention tons of support and fun with your new friends at Music Together. Please email me with any questions! – Christine Storch ()

Lost and Found: What fellow might have left a large, heavy, brown leather jacket on the lawn outside the barn last week? – Carla

Three Sisters Stew: Who asked for Kathy’s recipe after the 1st and 2nd Indian feast in November? I have a copy for you but can’t remember. – Carla
