Authorizing and approvingfrom the New Jersey State Contract#T-2103 (A83173)the purchase of One(1) 2014 Ford Transit Connectto Winner Ford in the amount not to exceed $20,949.50
WHEREAS, The Township of Bernards Department of Public Works wishes to purchase One(1) 2014
Ford Transit Connect from the New Jersey State Contract #T-2103 (A83173); and
WHEREAS, it is the combined recommendation of the Director of Public Works, Administrator and Purchasing Agent to award this purchase to Winner Ford, 250 Berlin Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 in the amount not to exceed$20,949.50; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are available in the 2013 Capital Budgetandthe line item appropriation to be charged is line account #C-04-55-233-B01; and
WHEREAS, the Township is authorized to make purchases through cooperative and state contracts pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10 and –12; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Bernards, Somerset County, New Jersey that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order for One (1) 2014Ford Transit Connectfrom the New Jersey State Contract # T-2103 (A83173)Winner Ford, 250 Berlin Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034,in the amount not to exceed $20,949.50.

Explanative Statement:
It is my recommendation, based upon review of the New Jersey State Contract #T-2103 (83173), to issue a purchase order to Winner Ford for One (1) 2014 Ford Transit Connect in the net total delivered price of $20,949.50. This recommendation is made in accordance with the fleet vehicle replacement plan for 2013. This replaces One (1) 2003 Dodge Van, vehicle #34.
