  • Joseph and Sandra Rotman Prize(Deadline: Extended to May 15th)

The deadline for this year's applications for our Joseph and Sandra Rotman Prize has been extended to May 15th. The description of the award is below. Applications may be initiated by students or by graduate supervisors.

The Joseph and Sandra Rotman Prize for Student Excellence in Public Policy Innovation, valued at $500, was established in 2003 by Heather Munroe-Blum, Leonard Solomon Blum and by McGill University, in honour of Joseph and Sandra Rotman. It is awarded by the McGill Institute for the Study of Canada to a graduate student in the Faculty of Arts whose Masters or Doctoral thesis is judged to have made a distinctive contribution to the understanding or conduct of public policy in Canada.   • David McCutcheon Fellowship in Pediatric Palliative Care

We are excited to announce the third annual competition for the David McCutcheon Fellowship in Pediatric Palliative Care.

Full-time graduate students at McGill University interested in pursuing research in pediatric palliative care are eligible to apply for this fellowship. The value of this award is $20,000 for up to 2 years. Theapplication deadline is June 14, 2013for funds to be taken up by September 2013. Please see attachment.

Dr. Lori Ross of the Re:Searching for LGBTQ Health team, Centre for Addiction & Mental Health, Toronto, welcomes applications for a full-time postdoctoral research fellowship in the area of bisexual mental health. The postdoctoral fellow will primarily contribute to a National Institutes of Health (National Institute of Mental Health)-funded study of mental health during the transition to parenthood among sexual minority women, with a focus on understanding the particular experiences of ‘invisible’ sexual minority women (i.e., those who are currently partnered with men).
