Dear Parent/Guardian

SPORTS NEWS

It has been a busy time for Yeo Valley’s sports teams.

Congratulations to the year 5 and year 6 mixed boys and girls rounders’ team, who have qualified for the North Devon finals. These will take place at Torrington on 13th June 2017.

Last week a mixed KS2 team represented the school brilliantly at a cricket tournament at Instow and earlier this week Mrs Gilbert took 12 Year 5 and 6’s to play in a Tag Rugby tournament. The rugby team were fantastic – winning 5 of their 7 games.

The year 5 and year 6 girls played 4 games of cricket at Instow Cricket Ground on Thursday and won every game!

They are now going to play in the County Finals on June 7th at Newton Abbott.

Thank you to Mrs Chapman for her continued support and help with transport.

KS2 SING UP COMPETITION

Well done to Mrs Morris’ Year 3 class who, with their super singing, were runners up.

They started the whole Sing Up competition with a real burst of energy. You could see that they all thoroughly enjoyed singing their chosen song ‘Uptown Funk’ and it was a big hit with the other classes.

Big congratulations go to Year 4 – the winners of the competition.

The way they staged themselves was lovely, they were ALL animated, their song choice, ‘Full of Wonder’ was popular with other classes in the hall and they really delivered on the day – singing with great enthusiasm and passion.

FSU AND KS1 SING UP COMPETITION

It was a toughly fought competition, resulting in Year 1, Year 1 / 2 and Nursery as runners up.

The win went to Miss Green’s Reception class with their song ‘Bare Necessities’.

The performance was really smiley and they really did look like they were all enjoying their singing.

YEAR 6 LEAVERS HOODIES

The final date for ordering a Year 6 Hoody is Monday 5th June017 when the orders will be placed. As they can only be printed in one batch, this is the final day.

Late orders will not be able to be accommodated.

HALF TERM

Let’s hope the sunny weather continues for next week!
