I am a Building Management Graduate from a trade background with extensive expertise in the Construction industry. I enjoy taking on new challenges, working on my own initiative and also working as part of team. Although my background is in construction, I would welcome any opportunities to diversify into other sectors. While with P. Elliott I worked as a Sectional Foreman/Site manager on the Herberton site. This was a Multi-million PPP regeneration of the Fatima Area in Dublin 1.
- My Principal working relationships were with Contracts Manager, Senior Site Manager, Quantity Surveyors, Other Foremen, Design Team, Site Engineers and Safety Officers.
- Preparation and implementation of my programs of Residential Houses from Site Clearance to Hand over.
- Liaising with other Site managers to help run the overall 5 tower blocks and Basement area Site.
- Managing and directingall subcontractors and allocated staff including Bricklayers, G.O.s, Crane drivers and Banks men.
- Achieving specified quality standard and Monitoring and Repairing site boundary.
- Hands on work; Teleporter Driving, Banking Cranes, Chain man labouring and General housekeeping.
- Constant safety surveillance.

General Working Foreman
While working with Guildstone I worked on a 1 off Residence designed by the award winning Architects BoydCody in Dartry D6 and a site in Ballymount industrial estate D12 that included 2 large industrial Units.
- My duties included managing the day to day running of Residential and Commercial Sites
This included extensive Basement Excavation, Concrete Shuttering work and Steel Frame construction
- Estimating, measuring, setting out and all aspects of work related to a medium sized contractor
- Communication link between Design Team, Quantities surveyors, Engineers, Sub-Contractors, Trades and Operatives
- Managing and directing subcontractors and allocated staff including G.O.s , Carpenters, Bricklayers.

While playing football in boston for a summer I worked with a small Masonry Sub contractor.
- Carried out restoration work on high rise residential brick buildings
- Re-pointing of brickwork and Stone masonry high rise buildings on Mobile Scaffold.
Skill Set
- Fully qualified Bricklayer through the Fas 4 Years Apprenticeship system
- 2 years experience in a management Roles.
- I have a full clean Driving Licence.
- I have successfully completed a Fetec Train the Trainer course with Qualtec, which I believe has improved my people skills and training ability.These courses interest me and I hope to do a Training and development course in the near future.
- I also hold an occupational First Aid cert and a Telescopic Handler Ticket.
- I am proficient in the use of computers and have an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Buildsoft and Autocad.
- I am currently attending a part time Plumbing Maintenance Course as I have an interest in this area.
Hobbies
- I am a keen sportsman, enjoying fishing, golf, hunting and hill walking whenever I get the chance.
- I participate in GAA sports having done so from an early age,playing on the county minor team at one stage and captained my Club Eire Og Na mullaifrom which I have won numerous accolades.
- I have a keen interest in music and enjoy playing the guitar having taught myself.
- I enjoy travelling and experiencing other cultures and have been fortunate enough to spend time in places such as Australia( Where I worked with a labour agency on various construction site and Landscape gardeners) New Zealand, Asia, America and Europe. I found I gained life long & valuable experience from this.
