The Skyway Jazz Festival provides a competitive and educational musical experience for Skyway Colleges’ student jazz instrumental performers and the jazz performance groups are to be comprised of currently enrolled students or those who have been exempted from the awards portion of the competition. This form verifies that all performers are enrolled as a student as defined by your college.
The competition is intended to be an amateur event that encourages the growth and skill level of student performers and Outstanding Musical Recognition awards will be presented to students whose performance is rated by the judges to be exceptional based on the adjudication criteria sheet. However, students who receive compensation for their performances outside of the Jazz Band competition are not prohibited from the competition. Student participants who do not consider themselves to be amateurs and elect to withdraw from the individual performance competition should be indicated in the right hand column below.
