Calculators/Computers

Students are motivated to use calculators on class practice, homework and exams, except on mental math skills. There is a strong emphasis on calculator use in this course. It is suggested that you purchase and learn to use your own calculator (TI-83 or TI-83 Plus). Students will be given opportunities to use graphic calculators in class. Computers will also be integrated into this course for classroom use. Be responsible and careful when using this expensive equipment. Students are accountable for the equipment condition.

Hall Passes

Hall Passes will NOT be issued for the first 10 minutes of class or the last 10 minutes of class. Using the hall pass is a privilege. Do not abuse it. The rewards of staying in class, which allows you to miss nothing, are overwhelming. Special incentives to remain in class can help motivate you to stay in class and will be in effect throughout the year.
