POLICIES FOR TEACHERS AND EDUCATIONAL LEADERS IN THE WORLD AND IN VIETNAM IN AN ERA OF GLOBALIZATION AND INTERNATIONAL INTEGRATION

9-10- December, Hanoi, Vietnam

In December, 2009 the College of Education (Website: or ), Vietnam National University in Hanoi will celebrate the 10th anniversary. To mark this event, we will organize an International Workshop on “Policies for Teachers and Educational Leaders in the World and in Vietnam in an Era of Globalization and International Integration”.

  1. Aims

The workshop aims to gather Educators and Scientists, Policy Makers from different countries and in Vietnam to discuss and exchange their knowledge, opinions and experiences on policies for Teachers and Educational Leaders in the context of globalization and international integration. This sharing will contribute good lessons for Vietnam to develop and implement their policies for Teachers and Educational Leaders to serve a better education in our country.

  1. Objectives

Some specific objectives are:

  1. Exchange of knowledge and experiences of policies formation and implementation
  2. Definition of new roles, rights and responsibilities of Teachers and Educational Leaders in a changed world context (Globalization and International Integration) and in Vietnam (Building a market economy)
  3. Recommendation of directions for the development of policies for Teachers and Educational Leaders in the next period.
  4. Development of cooperation among Educators and Educational Leaders of the Faculty of Education and other National and International Education Institutions

After the first announcement, we received 42 titles and abstracts from 23 International Participants and 20 Vietnamese participants. (See list of papers and authors below at F, p.4).

  1. Requests to the Authors of papers

In order to be well organized the workshop in December (9 & 10), we request the authors:

  • Verify and correct your title of paper.
  • Submit your full paper, including your abstract on time before on at least on the deadline of August 30, 2009. Your papers will be translated into Vietnamese, French and English and will be published in the workshop proceedings (both e-copy and hard-copy for English, Vietnamese and French versions). Therefore, your submission is required on the time as indicated.

We will send you the workshop agenda where you can find your time of presenting and your panelin advance at least two weeks before the workshop.

  1. Register for other participants

We invite those who have not had papers but are interested in the workshop to register to share our event. There are no any fees requested. If you wish to attend the workshop, please fill the form and send to contact persons of the workshop.

Although we don’t provide any financial supports for you to take part in the workshop and you have to spend everything on your own, we would like to assist you with some advice about hotels and meals during the time you are in Hanoi.
