Title VI Complaint Procedure
The complainant may file a signed, written complaint up to one hundred and eight (180) days from the date of the alleged discrimination. The complaint should include the following information:
- Your name, mailing address, and the best way to contact you.
- How, when, where and why you believe you were discriminated against. Include the location names and contact information of any witnesses.
- Other information that you deem significant.

NOTE: Northern Lights encourages all complainants to certify all mail that is sent through the U.S. Postal Service to ensure all correspondence can be tracked easily.
All complaints alleging discrimination based on race, color or national origin will be directly addressed by Northern Lights. Northern Lights shall provide appropriate assistance to complainants, including those persons with disabilities, or who are limited in their ability to communicate in English. Northern Lights will begin to address all complaints within 24 hours of receiving complaint and a letter acknowledging complaint will be sent to complainant within 5 days.
Northern Lights will send a final written response to the complainant the findings of the complaint. In the letter notifying complainant that the complaint is not substantiated the complainant will also be advised of his or her right to –
- Appeal within seven calendar days of the receipt of the final written decision
- File a complaint eternally with the U.S. Department of Transportation and or the FTA.
