Yard Sale Vendor Guidelines

Spring 2018

Friday, May 4th - Sunday, May 6th

Many of you know that computer chips have been added to credit and debit cards over the past year. A lot of changes have taken place for merchants in regards to chip processing during this transition. One of the biggest changes has been a 61% increase in cost for credit card processing.

Items from the yard sale are not part of Enchanted Memories Scrapbooking & Paper Crafts’ inventory and we cannot continue to absorb the higher processing costs on these items. In order to help offset the additional costs we have implemented a $5.00 registration fee for all vendors.

The registration fee must be paid with cash or check by April 5, 2018.Credit cards will not be accepted for the registration fee. If the registration fee has not been received by this time, your vendor spot will be offered to a new vendor.

Our yard sales are designed to provide an opportunity for our vendors to sell their old/unused paper crafting tools and supplies. The yard sales are not for Craft Show items such as pre-made pages, pre-made albums, pre-made cards, etc. Items purchased with the intent to sell at the yard sales to make a profit cannot be accepted. Enchanted Memories Scrapbooking & Paper Crafts reserves the right to remove items from the yard sale if we feel that they fail to meet our guidelines. These items will be returned to the vendor at the end of the sale. The vendor may be asked to pick up any item(s) removed from the sale prior to the start of the yard sale due to limited space.

Basic Information:

  • The yard sale will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 through Sunday, May 6, 2018.
  • Yard sale items may be dropped off betweenSaturday, April 28, 2018 and Thursday, May 3, 2018during our hours of operation.
  • Due to space limitations, you may bring a maximum of two (2) crates/cartons/boxes(each box may weigh a maximum of 30 pounds).
  • The amount you make on your items at the yard sale will either be credited to you as vendor credit on your own vendor card for 100% of your sales OR you will receive cash for 70% of your sales. When you register for the yard sale, you must specify which option you would like.
  • Vendor cards cannot be used during a store-wide sale (you may waive the discount in order to use your vendor credit), towards the purchase of other yard sale items, and cannot be combined with any coupons (birthday, rewards, etc.)
  • Vendor cards may be used on clearance items and for classes.
  • Purchases made using your vendor card will not earn rewards points.
  • Vendor cards may only be used towards half the cost of any special order.
  • Vendor cards will expire 180 days (6 months) after being issued. An expiration date will be printed on the vendor card when it is issued to you.Expired vendor cards will not be accepted, no exceptions.
  • Enchanted Memories will set up all yard sale items for purchase.
  • Items from the yard sale will be purchased at the register and entered with your unique yard sale barcode and your price. (This will allow the sale of your item to be credited to your account)
  • You do not need to be present during the sale to sell your products.
  • Enchanted Memories will have your unsold items sorted and boxed for pick up starting on Thursday, November 9, 2017. We need a little time to sort and organize unsold items. Thanks!
  • We will email you by Monday, May 7, 2018 with the amount of vendor credit or cash you have earned and to remind you to pick up any unsold items. If you are not picking up unsold items and need to have your vendor card or a check mailed to you, Enchanted Memories will take $0.50 from your earnings to cover the shipping cost.
  • Any unsold items must be picked up by close of business on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
  • Any items not picked up by close of business on Saturday, May 12, 2018 will be donated. If you will be unable to pick up your items by this date, you must call to make arrangements to schedule a pick up time for your unsold items.

Packaging and Pricing Items:

  • If you are a new yard sale vendor: Shortly after receiving an email confirming your vendor registration, you will receive an additional email with your unique vendor barcode. All of your items must have this barcode attached.Please place your price and barcode on top of the UPC barcode so that it cannot be scanned as a regular retail product.(if you are a returning vendor please use the barcode that was previously created for you)
  • The barcode allows your account to be credited so make sure it is easily found.
  • Please make sure labels are securely attached (we suggest clear packing tape) – if an item loses its barcode, it will be removed from the yard sale and donated.
  • All items must be at least 20% less expensive than the Suggested Retail Value.
  • Any products currently being sold at Enchanted Memories may not be sold at the yard sale unless they have been used.
  • Items should be packaged neatly – remember the nicer the presentation, the more appealing it is to shoppers.
  • Individual pieces of paper will not be accepted because they are easily damaged. Consider grouping themed or coordinating items together in one package - for example, baby boy stickers and paper can be packaged together as one item. Label these items with a list of what is contained in the pack – this prevents the need for the package to be opened and items to get misplaced.
  • Grouped items must be packaged in a sealed bag to prevent loss and/or damage.
  • Please have ALL your items in a milk crate or similar-sized bin or box (Banker’s Box). Please make sure your crates/cartons/boxes are marked with your vendor code or name. Product cannot be spread out over the tables due to the amount of space and number of vendors. Oversized or unstable totes/boxes will not be accepted.
