Tutorials:
· Tutorials are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:15pm located in Portable M.
· Please come prepared! I’m not able to help much if you’ve left your homework or project at home.
· If you plan to re-take a test during tutorials, you need to bring your original test (the one you failed) with you. This will give you the opportunity to learn from your mistakes.
· If you cannot attend one of my posted tutorial times, please come see me. I am always more than happy to set aside time to make sure you receive the help you need!
Re-Take Policy:
· Students may re-take a failed test so long as they attend tutorials on two separate
occasions.
o The first tutorial is for individual tutoring and re-learning.
o The second tutorial is when the student will re-take the test.
Late Work Policy:
· If you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to ask for the missed assignment.
· Students have one week to turn in late work in order to receive a passing grade for the
assignment.
o 1 day late = 15 point deduction
o 2+ days late = 30 point deduction
· After one week, the assignment will lose 10 points per day until it zeroes out (counting down from the 70 that was earned the first week it was late).
· Extenuating circumstances for late work will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Let’s Excel in Latin Class!
Attention Latin Students! Whether you have a high or low grade in Latin class, there is always room to improve. Here are some ways to excel in Latin class…
· Make Flashcards:Make flashcards of your vocabulary words. Drill yourself daily. Ask a parent or friend to help quiz you.
· Be Organized:Keep your school binder organized so you don’t lose homework and handouts. Try to make it a routine – as soon as you come home from school, clean out your backpack and organize your papers.
· Use Your Planner:If you struggle keeping track of assessment and test dates, use your planner! Be sure to listen to my daily reminders and write down the important due dates I provide you.
· Use My Website:My Murchison staff page provides updates on homework, due dates, and outside resources. It’s a great resource if you should get sick and need to keep up with your classwork from home.
· Study Your Homework:Keep your homework that I return to you. Sometimes your graded homework can be reviewed and learned from in preparation for a quiz or test.
· Study at Home:Study before quizzes and tests. 15-30 minutes of studying can make a big difference.
· Learn from Your Mistakes:Pay attention when we go over assessments and tests as a class. Understand why you missed questions so that next time you don’t make the same mistakes.
· Attend Tutorials:Please take the initiative to attend tutorials. I’m always here to help but you have to take the initiative and be responsible for your own learning.
· Get Work Completed Early:Turn in projects, papers, and presentations on time. My late-work policy is listed above. This policy is in place to recognize those who work hard to get their work completed on time.
