2016 Convention Update

TAHV Convention 2016, June 5-8, is upon us and it is breaking new ground. Convention registration will be online. The finishing touches and testing are occurring now and a launch is anticipated by the end of March. Then, registration will be open through May 20, 2016. This year's registration fee is $55.00 and payment will be made by check payable to TAHV Convention 2016.

The Austin Renaissance Hotel at the Arboretum (9721 Arboretum Blvd, Austin, 512-343-2626) is the convention hotel. It is the ideal gateway to explore the Lone Star state's capital city. Recently renovated with amenities to spare (plush bedding, fitness center, pools, running trails), the hotel also offers classic Texas cuisine at Banderas and boasts resident staff who can navigate you through the best places to eat, drink and shop in the area. There are numerous eateries to fit all budgets and shopping galore. If you have time to spend exploring Austin, the Bob Bullock State History Museum and Texas State Capitol are two must sees. Room registration is now open. To make and manage your own reservations online, use this link or you may call the hotel directly and request the TAHV Convention room block.

Hotel rooms are discounted at $179.00 + hotel occupancy + sales taxes/night-double occupancy. Hotel room reservations must be made by May 17thto insure availability and rate. Present the Texas Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificationform to have the sales taxwaived; hotel occupancy tax will still apply.

We are trying to keep costs reasonable, so there will only be three convention meals. The costs of those meals to you are: President's Party, $65.00; Uniform Lunch, $45.00; Installation Breakfast, $38.00.
