Welcome to the NQF e-bulletin, the department’s e-newsletter to support early childhood education and care services to implement the National Quality Framework.
Workforce Action Plan review
Your sector. Your say.
Educators and services providers are encouraged to have a say in the 2011–2014 Early Childhood Education and Care Workforce Action Plan (WAP) review to identify what the WAP has delivered and possible priority areas for workforce development.
The WAP was designed to assist the sector in preparing for significant national and state reforms.
It set out to achieve a number of objectives, including:
·  attracting quality educators to the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector
·  developing existing educators in Queensland
·  retaining and valuing our ECEC workforce
·  providing strong governance around policy development data and sector engagement.
The WAP is now in its final year and the department wants to hear your views and experiences. View the consultation paper for more information.
Have your say and encourage educators and staff to get involved by attending a consultation forum or completing a short online survey.
