Funded by Mass Health insurance. For youth up to the age of 21.

978-460-8712 – Lowell and surrounding areas / In-home family preservation services for youth and their families to assist in maximizing family functioning and preventing out-of-home placement for children or to transition them home from out-of-home placements. A variety of in-home and group services are available, for youth and their families who are involved with the Department of Mental Health and/or the Department of Children and Families. Various psycho-educational groups also provided through these programs.

978-460-8712 - Lowell Area / Intensive Care Coordination (ICC) and Family Support and Training (FS&T) services for Mass-Health enrolled youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED), under the age of 21, who meet the medical necessity criteria for these services. Intensive care coordinators facilitate care planning and coordination of services. Family Partners provide peer-support to caregivers in caring for youth with SED.

Campus-based short-term overnight hospital diversion for youth, ages 12-18, who are experiencing acute mental health symptoms. Service provides intensive assessment and short-term stabilization, funded by health insurance.

Appropriate referrals are those whose mental health needs are not being met by outpatient level of care. Funded by insurance. Often used as a diversion or step-down from psychiatric hospitalization/CBAT. Located in Framingham.

Wayside Academy /

Wayside Academy provides a structured, therapeutic classroom and a full educational program including core subject instruction, transitional planning, pre-vocational training and counseling services.
Tempo Young Adult Resource Center /

ShortStop /

781-893-2003--Advocates # to request evaluation-Waltham and surrounding areas. / Mobile, on-site, therapeutic response to youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis. MCI teams provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and coordination, for up to 7 days, until the youth is stable or transferred to another level of care. Wayside provides the MCI response for youth, up to age 21, with MassHealth insurance.
