Information Technology Specialist

Non-Exempt

Reports to: Infrastructure Operations Manager

Position Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its Mission: To make a positive difference in the lives of our members and our community. To achieve this mission the position must deliver high quality service to both internal and external members.

Major functions:

·  Providing 1st line support for Members First Credit Union staff. This support may include password resets, repairing and updating software, computer hardware and related connections, maintaining a proper maintenance schedule for all computer and communications hardware and software.

·  Process data and perform variety of clerical duties and support function for the Members First Credit Union Information Technology department.

·  Ensure and verify the accuracy of all data.

·  Provide first level of support for local and remote staff and other users. Support the administration and maintenance of our workstations, phones, printers, and other devices. This includes executing OS updates, software updates, firmware updates, hardware, software, telephone systems and printer support.

·  Prioritization of requests will be key, as well as the ability to escalate requests to other IT staff members and/or our vendor support teams.

·  Data entry in and out of our computer systems. Ensuring all data is secured and accurately processed is important.

·  Generate and disperse reports as requested.

·  Assist in the repair and maintenance of all software for use on computers, communications devices and related equipment.

·  Installation of new or updated computer hardware and software.

·  Installation of software updates at all necessary locations.

·  Cleaning computers, printers, and related equipment and maintaining a regular maintenance schedule.

·  Training staff in the proper use of computer hardware and software.

·  Assisting staff in troubleshooting computer and/or software problems.

·  Be an additional resource and support for some of our specialized services, functions, and groups.

·  Maintain security of all systems.

·  Other systems duties as assigned.

Other Duties:

·  Attend educational functions as required.

·  Must have a good working knowledge of all credit union products and services and how they interact with the hardware used to power them.

·  Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet the current needs of Members First Credit Union

·  Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Experience/Education:

·  High school graduate.

·  Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.

·  1 to 2 years of experience in IT support or equivalent

·  Basic Windows, Mac OS, and Linux administration with Active Directory

·  Microsoft Office products (primarily Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

·  Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and similar web clients

·  Adobe Acrobat

·  Understanding of security (social engineering, hashing/encryption, viruses, spyware, etc)

·  Have a working knowledge of credit union operations preferred

·  Must be able to operate a variety of computer hardware and software packages, along with other office equipment.

·  Be able to lift up to 50lbs to deliver and setup new technology.
