Document Gallery

Assignment

Josef Stalin, Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler and Franklin D. Roosevelt transformed their nations during the inter war years 1919-1939.

Using primary sources, create a document gallery that representsthe domestic policies, developments and events in the USSR, Italy, Germany or the U.S. during the Interwar period.

Format

Use a slide presentation tool/program or web site- PowerPoint, Sway, Edublog, etc. - to create the document gallery.

Domestic Policies, Developments, Events

The document gallery must include documents that represent the political, economic, and social policies, developments and events listed in the chart.

Primary Sources: Written and Visual Documents

  • Documents

Using primary sources, provide written and visual documentsthateffectively representeach of thepolitical, economic, socialpolicies, developments and events identified in the chart.The documents must represent some aspect related to or associated with thepolicies, developments and events.

Written documents include letters, newspaper articles, a diary entry, journal, memo, telegram, government report, advertisement, etc.Visual documents include photographs, paintings, posters, political cartoons, artwork, etc. Use the type of document - written or visual - that best suits the event.

  • Captions

Each document must include a captionthat identifies and describesthe documentand how it is related to or associated with the policy, development, and event.

  • Source/URL

Identify the source of the documents by providing the URLof the web site (not jpeg)

for each document and indicate it below the caption of each document.

Organization

Organize the document gallery into four distinct sections - political, economic, social, personal - and provide a heading for each of these sections. Also, identify each of the political, economic, and social policies, developments and events in each of the sections. The political, economic and social policies, developments and events in each section must be in the same order as indicated in the chart.
