CSPE provides worthwhile member services to

directly benefit the engineer member.

Projects & Programs:

CSPE Online

Stated Objective: Communicate issues and opportunities to members

Staff Responsibilities: Collect articles from chapters and officers; Create electronic newsletter ten times per year; post newsletter link to the website; Maintain current membership email database for newsletter distribution; Collect and publish Chapter and other professional society news and events in newsletter.

Volunteer Responsibilities: Promote programs and issues by sharingexperience of and or opinions on issues of interest to CSPE members.

Volunteers Needed or Required: All CSPE Officer and Chapter and Committee leaders.

Insurance Programs - all

Stated Objective: Provide quality low cost insurance programs to members

Staff Responsibilities: Campaigns and requests; Keep in contact with appropriate program contacts; Inform membership of new and/or special programs or rates via email; Send out renewal invoices and information on how to get involved in the programs; Verify current membership status with each vendor.

Volunteer Responsibilities: Recruit new members based on the benefits gained from participating in the insurance programs

Volunteers Needed or Required: All Board members and chapter officers.

  • E & O Insurance Program

Stated Objective: Provide cost effective insurance product to help CSPE members stay in business.

Staff Responsibilities:Work with AOI to create a CA specific E&O program similar to the State Fund Program. Recruit members from participants.

Volunteer Responsibilities: Promote program as a benefit of CSPE membership to current and potential members.

Volunteers Needed or Required: All CSPE Board members and chapter leaders.

  • Safety Programs - State Fund (SCIF)

Stated Objective: Provide cost effective insurance product to help CSPE members stay in business and create and maintain a safe worksite.

Staff Responsibilities: Work with CSPE Safety Committee Members and SCIF to review loss trends; Monitor compliance with SCIF point system. Maintain part time position of Safety Contact and Safety Director. Place articles from SCIF and OSHA in newsletter and on web; Keep in contact with appropriate program contacts and vendors; Inform membership of new and/or special programs or rates; Verify current membership status of SCIF participants monthly. Send out renewal invoices to SOP’s in program and membership information on non members placed in group monthly. Quarterly Work with SCIF to have non members removed from group or converted to SOP or CSPE members on their annual renewal dates. Does not include Annual Safety Conference. Attendance at safety seminars and or workshops will be billed separately on a time and costs basis. Generate CCO when program responsibilities vary from norm of 250 participants.

MAP

Stated Objective: Create a unique service to engineering firms to offer competent mediation and arbitration services for member firms.

Staff Responsibilities: Update names and contact information on CSPE website and CSPE Online quarterly; Maintain current member listings; Delete dropped members quarterly.

Volunteer Responsibilities: Share the benefit of having these services available to peers and potential member firms.

Volunteers Needed or Required: All CSPE Board Members and Chapter Leaders.

Professional Services Directory – Hire An Engineer

Stated Objective: Create employment opportunities for member firms.

Staff Responsibilities: Update names and contact information on CSPE website and CSPE Online quarterly; Maintain current member listings; Delete dropped members quarterly.

Volunteer Responsibilities: Share the benefit of having a free listing of company and name on the CSPE web site

Volunteers Needed or Required: All CSPE Board Members and Chapter Leaders.

UPS

Stated Objective: Provide low cost shipping options for members.

Staff Responsibilities: Place articles in the online newsletter and website; Keep current contact information and rule of the contract updated annually. Work with UPS staff to create a marketing plan for this product. Provide mailing lists to UPS and recruit new members from current list of people/companies using this service.

Volunteer Responsibilities: Promote program to members as a reason to stay or become a CSPE member.

Volunteers Needed or Required: All CSPE Board Members and Chapter Leaders.
