Our Mission

We strive to provide a warm caring atmosphere of mutual respect where each learner can grow to his/her greatest potential. We serve to instill the value of knowledge, the dignity of effort and the worth of the individual.

Description of Vocational Adaptation Program

The program is designed for students with learning difficulties who are at risk. The students concentrate of functional academics, life skills, social skills, career skills and work education. The program has been designed to implement all components of the Saskatchewan Core Curriculum. Every effort will be made to allow integration into some mainstream classes. All programming is designed for the success of our students. We view success individually, as we measure success on the improvements that each individual achieves.

The Vocational Alternative Program Strives to Help Our Students Develop:

Social Skills

Independence

Leisure Skills (learn how to fill their leisure time appropriately)

Find employment that is meaningful to the individual

Awareness of their personal strengths

General Information:

All vocational grade 9 students must successfully complete Math, English, and 4 other credits in order to proceed to Vocational grade 10 classes

Grade 9 students will be required to take all classes within the Vocational Adaptation Program, except for the Home Arts rotation and grade 9 Physical Education

Integration into some regular credit classes may take place in grade 10,11, and 12 with consultation of the Vocational Department

Many courses require prerequisite classes. Make sure you have completed the required classes
