Dear Residents,
I would like to start this letter by thanking some important people. Janice Garic resigned as Secretary, and we will miss her. She was the secretary from the beginning when the Association was taken over by the residents and has done a great job since day one. I would like to thank her for her time and services. The Officers and Directors have been doing a great job and it’s been great working with all of them. We have had a lot of issues and problems to solve recently and I appreciate all of their help.
Regan Brundrett has taken over some secretarial duties temporarily and is a great help with lots of issues. Don Meyn has kept our books in good order and now has help with check writing duties with Drew Kennedy as Assistant Treasurer. Greg Cloutet is currently working on getting our website up and running. Please check it out soon at beauwest.net. Nolan Barrios is a very active and vocal Director and also chairs the Landscape Committee.
We have (2) committees one is the Architectural Committee. Michael Booth chairs this committee. He has been in charge of approving house plans from builders and other issues, including outbuildings. He has done a very professional and wonderful job. The committee members include Douglas Ferrante and Chad Jones. Another committee is the Landscape Committee. Nolan Barrios chairs this committee and has done a good job meeting with committee members and coming up with a plan and getting things done with the park and numerous other projects and issues. The committee members include Kristin Custer, Terri Gressell, Dana Kennedy, Dominic & Sharon Latino, and Jacqueline Livera. My apologies if I have missed anyone.
I would also like to thank Don’s wife, Pam Meyn and my wife Dana for providing their homes and refreshments for our meetings. Out of a total of (59) homes in Beau West, We have a total of (15) Directors, Chairman and Committee members. I think that’s a pretty good percentage of participation. Thanks to everyone for devoting your time and work.
Our park is looking great and has a sprinkler system installed and hopefully soon should have (2) tables with bench type seating to match our other benches already in place. We have had some complaints already of it being used as a dog walk. Please clean up after your dogs. This is very rude to children or anyone that wants to visit and/or play in the park area.
We will soon be getting quotes and gearing up for the front entrance project. This will be landscaping that will be around the brick wall entrance area of the sub-division. If you would like to be a part of this project or a member of the Landscape Committee please contact Nolan Barrios 674-2334.
We have a new lawn service starting in 2005. Louisiana Landscape will be handling all lawn services, flowers and shrubs, and will be monitoring the sprinkler systems throughout the neighborhood.
We have had lots of complaints in the past and the Directors have voted that all complaints be in writing. They will be held in confidence with the Directors. My e-mail address is or drop them by 731 Libby Lane.
I am attaching the 2005 Budget and the Invoice for 2005 dues. Please remit your payment as soon as possible. We need a good cash flow to complete projects and expenses in the future. Also attached is a copy of the covenants which should be available on our website soon.
Happy Holidays to everyone and Happy New Year.
