Age Classes For 2014 Year of Birth Criteria
Elite
Elite Boxers are Boxers Born Between 1/1/74 and 31/12/95
Although it states 19 to 40 years old, Boxers born in1995 could still be 18 years old but they will become 19 years old sometime in 2014.
Due to Year of Birth, this makes them eligible as an Elite Boxer.
Due to Year of Birth, Boxers who become 40 years old can compete up until 31/12/14
An 18 year old Boxer born in 1995 can compete against Boxers who are up to 40 years old.
An 18 year old Boxer born in 1995 can compete against another 18 year old Boxer born in 1995 as they are both Elite.
An 18 year old Boxer born in 1995 cannot compete against an 18 year old Boxer born in 1996 as an Elite Boxer cannot compete against a Youth Boxer.
Youth
Youth Boxers are Born between 1/1/96 and 31/12/97.
A Boxer Born in 1996 can compete against a Boxer Born in 1997 provided there is only a maximum of
12 months in age between them.
A Youth Boxer Born in 1997 can compete against a Junior Boxer Born in 1998 provided there is only a maximum of 12 months in age between them.
Junior
Junior Boxers are Born between 1/1/98 and 31/12/99.
A Boxer Born in 1998 can compete against a Boxer Born in 1999 provided there is only a maximum of
12 months in age between them.
A Junior Boxer Born in 1999 can compete against a Schoolboy Boxer Born in 2000 provided there is only a maximum of 12 months in age between them.
Schoolboy
Schoolboy Boxers are Born between 1/1/00 and 31/12/01.
A Boxer Born in 2000 can compete against a Boxer Born in 2001 provided there is only a maximum of
12 months in age between them.
(Domestic) Schoolboys
A Boxer Born in 2002 can compete against a Schoolboy Boxer Born in 2001 provided there is only a maximum of 12 months in age between them.
A Boxer Born in 2003, provided he has become 11 years old, can compete against a Boxer Born in 2002 provided there is only a maximum of 12 months in age between them.
Skills Bouts
Skills Bouts can still be staged.
A Boxer must be at least 10 years old to take part in a Skills Bout.
The maximum age a Boxer can be to take part in a Skills Bout is 16 years old.
There can only be a maximum of 12 months in age between Skills Bout participants.
