FEATURING MATT KEARBY AND PAT ELDEAN AT SATURDAY CHEF SERIES
Join Piper Restaurant’s chef Matt Kearby and owner Pat Eldean this Saturday, May 26 at 10am for the weekly Chef Series at the Holland Farmers Market. Kearby will be demonstrating the many ways to incorporate asparagus, fresh from the Market, into a variety of dishes. They will also cover the basics of how to select, store, and cook asparagus, and present different dishes including asparagus salad with faro and vinaigrette and a creamy asparagus soup.
Matt Kearby has been working with Piper Restaurant, located at 2225 South Shore Dr. in Holland, since 2002. Kearby has always had a passion for cooking and attended the Baker College Culinary Arts Program to create a career for his life-long enthusiasm in the kitchen.
Every week a featured Chef from the West Michigan area will present new and exciting recipes featuring fresh produce from the Farmers Market. The Chef Series is held every Saturday at 10am at the Holland Farmer’s Market, May 16 through September 8 and is free to attend. The series is sponsored by Visser Farms, a Zeeland family farm since 1902. Visit their stand at the Holland Farmer’s Market every Wednesday and Saturday, or online at www.visser-farms.com.
