We deeply regret to inform you that in response to the Hospital-wide budget reduction mandates, the {Department’s Name} is eliminating your position. In compliance with the Hospital’s Reduction in Force Policy, your position will be eliminated effective {Date}.

Vacant positions are posted daily through the promotional opportunity system, and you are encouraged to bid on positions you are interested in. If you have not acquired another position before the effective date of your termination, you will retain your bidding rights for one (1) year.
If your employment is terminated, information explaining your benefits will be provided to you through Human Resources Consulting & Labor Relations. Attached is a check list which identifies important information that you will find useful during the transition process.

In response to the Hospital-wide budget reduction mandates, or other Hospital initiatives, the {Department’s Name/Unit Name} is eliminating your position. In compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), your position will be eliminated effective {Date}.
As a regular employee who will be laid off from your job cluster, you have the right to seek an alternative position pursuant to Section 4.5(c.) of the CBA. Based on your seniority, qualifications, and ability, in accordance with Section 4.5(c.)(4), you are entitled to transfer a vacant position. Your pay rate as specified pursuant to Section 4.5(g) of the CBA will be determined by the position you elect.
Please call your Career Specialist, Tammie Kelly at 443-997-5367immediately to set up an appointment for the purpose of identifying other positions available. You are eligible to bid on any vacant position listed on the bid boards. If you choose not to accept any of these positions for which you qualify, you will forfeit any employment rights you may have as designated by the CBA such as recall and future bidding.
