What’s New? Last year at La Salle University we celebrated 20 years of faith, service and community with a wonderful Lasallian Youth Summer Assembly. Over the past 20 years we have seen the development of community service programs in our secondary schools, the implementation of mission immersion trips and the availability of Lasallian formation for our students. As we embark upon the next 20 years, we pause to reflect, what are the current needs of our students? This year’s planning team will continue to build upon the three Lasallian pillars of: faith, service and community. However, the format for the week will be focused on interactive presentations to intentionally develop personal and communal leadership skills, ways to advocate for justice, the development of Lasallian formation with and for our students, community service opportunities, an excursion day in NYC and our Thursday evening celebration.
Please note: the Assembly will be ending on Friday morning with a morning session and commissioning. For your planning purposes please do not plan to leave prior to 10:30am.
Cancellation Policy – It will not be possible to obtain a refund after 1 July.
Attached with this form are forms that will facilitate the registration process and proper planning for the assembly. Copy the forms as needed. The forms included are:

[on the envelope, please note Lasallian Youth Assembly]
By early June, a tentative schedule, driving directions and any other information will be provided.
Finally, the Planning Team wishes to stress that those invited to participate in the LYA should be students who are called to take up leadership roles in the school community, helping animate the school community in the areas of Christian service and social justice promotion. The LYA is not a depository for students who need to finish required school community service hours. Finally, the Planning Team welcomes any suggestions you may have to help make the 2015 LYA not only successful but also significant.
