Working Families Success Network in Community Colleges (WFSNCC) Financial Coach Training

What: Financial Coach Training provided by Central New Mexico Community College
This training comprises two separate two-and-a-half day sessions (five days/40 hours total). Please note that these two trainings are not the same. They are intentionally sequenced to build off one another.

Who should attend:

  • This training is for essential financial coaching staff only, that is staff that will primarily be responsible for delivering financial coaching services to WFSNCC students.
  • Each college can send a maximum of two people to this training. Please note: because the two trainings are connected with regard to course material, it is important that the same staff that attends Training #1 should also attend Training #2.

Training #1

  • When:April 20th, 21st, and 22nd
  • Training on April 20th and 21st will begin at 8:00 am and adjourn at 5:00 pm
  • Training on April 22nd will begin at 8:00 am and adjourn at 1:00pm
  • Where:Highline College, Outreach Center (building 99)
  • 3835 Pacific Highway South, Kent, WA
  • Room: 99-132
  • Please note the address above is for the Outreach Center. Please be sure to use this address, as the Outreach Center has a different street address than the college as it’s technically not on campus property.
  • Food:
  • Breakfast and Lunch will be provided all days

Training #2

  • Prospective dates: May 18-20orJune 3-5
  • Note: once you have confirmed which one or two essential financial coaching staff will attend Training #1, please confirm with them which of the above prospective dates for Training #2 will work the best and indicate in the registration form (see registration form link below).
  • Where:Location TBD. Likely at a location in closer proximity to both the Virginia and Arkansas consortia.

Associated Costs:

  • ATD is covering all direct training costs (CNM trainers, supporting materials, food, etc.).
  • Colleges may use WFSNCC grant funds to cover travel and accommodations expenses.
  • Please know that ATD is aware that many of the colleges have exceeded their projected travel budgets for WFSNCC-related events. If you have a question or concern about the extent to which you’ve exceeded your anticipated travel budget please contact Julian or Elyssa directly.

Accommodations:

  • ATD will secure a block of hotel rooms close to the meeting venue. More details will be shared about this as soon as possible.
