SENATE RESOLUTION
In Memory
of
Lucio Aleman, Jr.
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins citizens
throughout the state and the people of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in
mourning the untimely loss of Lucio Aleman, Jr., who died recently
as a victim of the tragic Oklahoma City blast; and
WHEREAS, Born January 3, 1962, in Sinton, Texas, Lucio Aleman
graduated from Mathis High School and received a bachelor of science
degree in civil engineering from Texas A&I University in Kingsville;
he married Gabriella Rodriguez on October 27, 1990; and
WHEREAS, Lucio Aleman was dedicated to his work with the
Federal Highway Administration; he worked in Tennessee, Texas, and
Washington, D.C., before being transferred to Oklahoma City, where
he was promoted to Assistant Area Engineer; and
WHEREAS, A talented and loyal employee who was successful in
his career, Mr. Aleman was later given the dual title of Safety and
Traffic Coordinator and Civil Rights Coordinator; and
WHEREAS, An exemplary and distinguished gentleman,
Lucio Aleman was respected in the community for his numerous
accomplishments, and he was beloved and admired by his colleagues
in the Federal Highway Administration; and
WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he
gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and
valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
WHEREAS, Lucio Aleman was a devoted husband and father, and
he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his
family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the family
of Lucio Aleman, Jr.: his wife, Gabriella Rodriguez Aleman; his
daughter, Alynna Rebecca Aleman; his son, Lucio Allen Aleman;
his parents, Lucio and Isabel Felicita Aleman; his sisters,
Josefina Montes and Noemi Benavidez; and his motherinlaw,
Mrs. Hilda Rodriguez; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
in memory of Lucio Aleman.
