Primary Purpose of the Position
Assist the HR team with a range of HR activities, including general administration, HR systems maintenance, contribution to review of HR policy, and provision of advice and support to divisional managers and staff.

Key Challenges and Influences
- Maintaining a high degree of accuracy, and respecting confidentiality when managing HR and personnel systems.
- Maintaining open and effective two-way communication with divisional managers and staff in order to effectively respond to issues.
Key Outcomes/Accountabilities
- Provide general administration assistance to the HR team as required to assist in the achievement of business objectives
- Process and maintain the system of applications for allowance payments, leave requests, promotions, remuneration reviews, and other HR issues.
- Assist the HR team in reviewing and developing human resource policies and procedures for the Department/ Agency.
- Support and assist managers in undertaking and implementing HR processes in their divisions.
- Administer letters of offer and employment status changes to ensure employment records are accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with external providers to undertake recruitment, and coordinate employment applications.
- Maintain the personnel database and files (HRIS), including employee records, workers compensation files, performance management data, and remuneration records.
- Act as a point of reference for HR queries from staff and managers across the Department/ Agency.
