  1. Discussion of the Medicolegal Agreements Document:

New Agreement submitted by Matt Greene.

  • Agreement to Arbitrate – Is a financial agreement for both binding and non-binding arrangements.
  • Matt reviewed the example he submitted to the group. He will be faxing or e-mailing a copy to Nancy for inclusion on the website.
  • After review of the Medicolegal Agreement document the group agreed that a new category was not needed rather this was an expansion of the existing category “Financial Agreements/Authorization”.
  • John Travis agreed to do some additional information gathering for this category.

The group completed the Medicolegal Agreement document category of “Financial Agreements/Authorization”. The definition was reviewed and expanded, characteristics/content and examples of this type of agreement was completed.

Additional work done on the Medicolegal Agreement document was review of the following categories and was deemed complete at this time.

  • Multipurpose Compound Documents
  • Compound Document Set
  • Other International Categories

Attendees raised the following question.

  • In message writing are Multipurpose Compound Documents and Compound Document Sets really different agreement types or are they process issues at the organizational level. We will revisit this question at the May 2004 meeting.

The group felt the order of the final four categories needed to be redone and has been done (in draft format) as follows:

  • # 9 Financial Agreements/Authorizations.
  • # 10 Multipurpose Compound Documents
  • # 11Compound Document Set
  • # 12 Other International Categories

The group divided the categories amongst themselves and will begin writing a use case for each type. Draft use cases will be posted to the list serve for comment by April 23rd. The division is as follows:

  • Michelle - # 2,6
  • Matt - # 7,8
  • John - # 4, 9
  • Nancy - # 1,3,5

Nancy will post the updated Medicolegal Agreements Document to the website under – documents.

Nancy thanked all for their participation on the call today.

Respectfully submitted,

Nancy LeRoy
