TALKING ABOUT PROFESSION

Task 1

General description

Profession or people’s job is something that people do to gain the salary to support their daily life needs. There are many profession in this world and it usually depends on the skill and science dicipline that people have.

Task 2

Answer these question

To tell about someone profession we use simple present tense.

Pattern

a.  Verbal sentence

Affirmative sentence

Subject (I,You,We,They) + V1+ O

Example: They play football every week

The chief cooks a delicious food everyday

Negative sentence

Subject (I,You,We, They) + do not + V1 + O

Subject (He,She, it) + does not + V1 + O

Example: They do not play football every week

Interrogative sentence

Do + Subject (I, You, We, They) + V1 + O

Does + Subject ( He, She, it) + V1 + O

Example : Do They play football every week

b.  Nominal sentence

Affirmative sentence

Subject + is, am, are + Complement

Example : They are policemen

She is an actress

Negative sentence

Subject + is, am, are + not + Complement

Example: They are not policemen

She is not an actress

Interrogative sentence

Is, am, are + subject + complement + ?

Example: Are they policemen?

Note:

The verbs that ended with, s, ss,o,sh,ch,x,z added es

Examples: Kiss - kisses

Go - goes

Wash - washes

Watch - watches

Mix - mixes

Buzz - buzzes

For The words that ended y we must see the syllable before y if before y is vowel we just add s after verb. Example: buy – buys

If the syllable before y is consonant we add es after verb. Example: fly - flies

JOB TRENDS

Job trends for future emphasize careers in sales and marketing, most of the growth will come in international sales, high technology, and electronic marketing. Research shows that overseas sales of high tech equipment and technology will increase 20% in the next decade.

The internet is the primary source for advertising and marketing to these overseas customers at the same time, however succesfull marketers must find new avenue to increase consumer awareness of their products, as some clients become inundated by information on the internet, and as others are still just learning to navigate the web, the marketers of the future will have to be inventive.

More traditional sales skills, such as bilingualm and an agreeable character are still useful, willingness to travel is also a plus.
