The following awards are open for public nominations for members and non- members of the WPCA unless otherwise specified.

MEDIA AWARD –

Nominees should consist of individual, group or a company for excellence in reporting and promoting the events of the WPCA and Chuckwagon Racing to the public at large through the various types of media.

RACE COMMITTEE AWARD-

Nominees should consist of Race committee’s that should be recognized for their outstanding efforts in accommodating the WPCA, its members, and the Chuckwagon fans, through improvements to their overall show experience such as facilities, prize money, organization, etc.

CHUCKWAGON PERSON OF THE YEAR –

Nominations are open to anyone who has made outstanding and significant contributions to advancing and improving the overall status and integrity of the WPCA and the sport of Chuckwagon Racing.

ACTIVE SUPPORTERS-

Nominee’s can include individuals, groups, or companies in appreciation of their involvement, interest and dedication to the WPCA, it’s members, or Chuckwagon racing in general.

PAST MEMBER RECOGNITION / SPECIAL TRIBUTE AWARD

Nominee’s should include any past member (living or deceased) of the WPCA or it’s predecessor’s in recognition of their outstanding achievements, dedication, or contributions as they relate to the WPCA and Chuckwagon racing in general.

George Normand Lifetime Builders Award-

Nominee’s should include individuals who have dedicated a minimum of 5 years of service to the sport of Chuckwagon racing as a competitor, sponsor, race official, or some how affiliated with the WPCA. Drivers and outriders considered for this award must be retired from active competition. This award does not have to be presented annually.

WPCA SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD-

Nominations made by MEMBERS ONLY. Nominee’s should include individuals, groups, or companies to recognize special contributions made to the WPCA, it’s members, or Chuckwagon racing in general.

Ty Tournier Memorial Award –

Nominees should be a female who is involved and dedicated to the sport of chuckwagon racing and displays nurturing and caring of people and horse. The award is symbolic of Ty’s legacy “The spirit of the thoroughbred – Courage and Strength”

JUDGING AWARD-

Nomination by Judging staff only. Nominees should be members of the judging staff in recognition of their outstanding abilities and contribution to the judging team to ensure overall fair and efficient judging and racing.
