The Minutes of the 195th Meeting of the NRC held from 13th March, 2012 to 16th March, 2012

The 195th Meeting of the Northern Regional Committee (NRC), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) was held from 13th March, 2012 to 16thMarch, 2012 at NRC, NCTE, Jaipur.

The following were present:

The Regional Director, NRC apprised the Northern Regional Committee about the provision of the NCTE Act, Rules, Regulations and instructions issued from time to time.

With the permission of Chairperson, Dr. Ram Kishor(Convener) presented the Agenda before the Committee. Item-wise decisions taken are as follows:-

As per the direction of the Hon’ble High Court, the representation of the institution dated 10th February, 2012 was considered by the NRC and decided that the recognition was granted to the institution dated 4.1.2012 stand the same. There is no need to review to earlier decision and no merit in the case and the representations of the institution havebeen rejected.

As per the direction of the Hon’ble High Court, the matter be referred to the State Government for necessary action.
195.3.3 / RJ-1760 / SHRI DAU BABA T.T. COLLEGE, DHORMUI, BHARATPUR, RAJASTHAN. / STC / The original file of the institution, reply of the institution along with all other related documents, Act of NCTE, 1993, Regulations and Guidelines of NCTE published from time to time and in the light of Hon’ble High Court Order / Direction, the Committee observed the following:
The recommendation of the State Government is as
“The State Government is of the view that the number of existing 22 colleges in Bharatpur district is quite adequate. Also, the total number of existing 793 in the State of Rajasthan is quite adequate and the number of candidates who are completing their STC course each year from these colleges is far in excess of the total number of new teachers required in the State of Rajasthan.
Therefore, the State Government is of the considered view that no objection certificate should not be granted for the proposal of STC for setting up ShriDau Baba T.T. College, Dhormui, Bharatpur, Rajasthan.”
Hence, NRC decided that the application of the said course be rejected under section 14/15 (3) (b) of NCTE Act, 1993 on the above points.

The institution shall be required to provide all information as required in NCTE Regulation, 2009 to the Visiting Team along with building completion certificate issued by the Competent Authority at the time of inspection.
