Information for applicants
Bursary Awards 2016
There will be a total of eight bursary awards to suitably qualified students who have obtained a first degree of at least 2.1 standard and who wish to pursue a Masters course in a subject directly related to highways and transportation.
The amount of each award will be £10,000 to cover both maintenance and fees.
The awards will be made in open competition. There will be no set quota per university, but with a maximum of 5 nominations from each institution.
The following information should be supplied:
- A full CV
- A personal statement outlining your reasons for taking the course and your future career aspirations. In particular applicants must be able to demonstrate their intention to seek a career in transport in the UK. Your personal statement is particularly important in the selection process.
- Any financial information, which might be helpful to the Bursary Awards Panel, including the receipt by the applicant of other funds or awards.
Please note:
- The total bursary will be paid directly to the university at the commencement of the second term; and under no circumstances to the student. This is a condition of acceptance.
- Your information will be shared with the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund who will then make the final award.
