Degree Checklist for A.S. Pre-Nursing

Guidelines for applying to Roane State’s AAS Nursing:

Carefully review the requirements for applying to the AAS Nursing Program on the Nursing webpage/admissions packet.

Attend a Nursing program group advising/information session

Meet with your success coach or faculty advisor to develop a plan or sequence of courses.

Complete the Nursing program application in your Raidernet.

Take the HESI exam (if required)

RaiderNet email will be the onlycontact that you will receive to determine the status of your acceptance into the program. Check your RaiderNet email weekly.

  • BIOL 2010 – Anatomy and Physiology I
  • MATH 1530 – Introductory Statistics
  • PSYC 1030 – Introduction to Psychology OR Guided Elective: Choose one course from ENGL 1020, PSYC 2130 and COMM 2025

Educate yourself on the program(s) for which you plan to apply and become familiar with the requirements

Make contact with an admissions representative at those schools

Meet with your Success Coach or faculty advisor to plan your course sequences for required courses and electives
