  1. INTRODUCTION
  2. Purpose: To provide The Fire Prevention Division an efficient and structured means of managing reports related to inspection,staff productivity and other activities.
  1. Scope: This information applies to Fire Prevention management and administrative personnel responsible for the generation of the reports.
  2. Author: The Fire Marshal, through the SOP Coordinator, shall be responsible for the content revision and annual review of this information.
  1. RESPONSIBILITY

It is the responsibility of all Fire Prevention management and assigned administrative personnel to be familiar with and adhere to these requirements, where indicated.

  1. POLICY

A. DEPUTY FIRE MARSHAL

  1. Create and establish report criteria for performance and productivity for the Fire Prevention Division.
  2. Generate Performance Plus reports(monthly, quarterly, semi-annualand annually), as required by strategic business plan.

B.FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER

  1. Create and establish report criteria for performance and productivity for the Fire Protection Engineering Division.
  2. Generate Performance Plus reports(monthly, quarterly, semi-annualand annually), as required bystrategic business plan.

C.FIRE PREVENTION ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT PERSONNEL

  1. Monthly generation of Annual (IMP) locations due for inspection.
  2. Monthly generation of Annual / Renewable Use permits due for inspection.
  3. Monthly generation of CSINSP (Service request) processed and still open.
  4. Monthly generation of RMS non inspection activity report
  5. Quarterly generation of No Action on New Construction activities
  6. Quarterly generation of Open Fire Code Violations.
  7. Semi-Annual generation of City of Las Vegas business master lists.
  8. Annual generation of Last inspection date lists.
  1. Annual generation of Last inspection date for School locations based on NFIRS codes 200-215.
  2. Annual generation of Last inspection date for Adult or Child Care locations based on NFIRS codes 254,255 and 311.
  3. Annual generation of Last inspection date for Hospital or Health Care locations based on NFIRS codes 331.

A.FirePrevention Performance Plus productivity report descriptions:

  1. Productivity report IMP completed inspections – Annual inspections completed
  2. Productivity report Service Request- Customer service (complaint) inspections completed
  3. Productivity report New Construction- Completed new construction calls for service
  4. Productivity report Temporary permits - Completed Temporary use type permits.
    (Example: Tents, carnivals, special events)
  5. Use permit fees billed – Annual Renewable, Temporary, and Work Orders processed for period
  6. Usepermit fees collected - Annual Renewable, Temporary, and Work Orders fees collected for period.
  7. Fire Protection Engineering permits issued – All Fire Protection Engineering permits issued
  8. Fire Engineering Fire Life Safety Permits issued – All fire life safety operations or activity permits issued. (Example: Sprinklers, Fire alarm, kitchen hood extinguishing, etc)
  9. Fire Protection Engineering completed reviews – All Fire Protection Engineering reviews conducted (Example: building & Safety, planning, civil, architectural, etc)
  10. Fire Protection Engineering Express reviews completed – Reviews completed on an appointment basis or over the counter projects. * Limited submittal required.
  11. Fire Protection Engineering Fees generated (Admin)
  12. Fire Protection Engineering Fees generated (Valuation)

* Central station, hood suppression systems, sprinkler system or fire alarm systems with no calculations required.

B.Fire Prevention Inspection Management Program / Activity reportdescriptions:

  1. Annual (IMP) locations due for inspection – All business duefor inspection for period
  1. Annual / Renewable Use permits due for inspection. – All business that have been issued a Use operational permit due for inspection during the period.
  1. CSINSP (Service Request) type applications processed during the period – Open or no action status on CSINSP.
  1. No Action New Construction activities processed during theperiod – No action taken on scheduled new construction activities.
  1. Open Fire Code Violations still open – Previously inspected locations with remaining open fire code violations
  1. City of Las Vegas business master lists – Complete list of businesses broken down to inspection areas with associated Information. (Occupancy type, floors, systems, NFIRS, etc)
  1. Last inspection report Annual Inspection (IMP)–Last annual inspection on non permitted businesses. (Business type or least hazardous locations)
  1. Last inspection date School locations (NFIRS codes 200-215)
  1. Last inspection date Adult or Child Care locations (NFIRS codes 254,255 and 311).
  1. Last inspection date Hospital or Health Care locations (NFIRS code 331).
  1. RMS non inspection activity report – Non inspection related activities report. (Examples; Training, special activities, assisting other divisions, program development)
