Full description
This is used as an overview of the role, aim to give a good clear picture of the responsibilities. / We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and passionate apprentice who is willing to learn and grow as part of our nursery team.
Full training will be provided to carry out the following duties: Engagement and supervision of children of different ages, helping them learn through their play and a variety of activities; promoting high quality relationships with the rest of the staff team; modelling and encouraging positive behaviour with all children; communicating with parents on a daily basis; implementing and following plans and daily routines, giving an input into future planning; observing and monitoring the children’s development and wellbeing and keeping records up to date; maintaining all health and safety requirements and standards; promoting good health and hygiene; carrying out daily safety checks and cleaning routines; communicating any issues or concerns with senior staff and management; attending regular staff meetings and training; you will be required to follow all policies and procedures; you will gain a thorough understanding of the EYFS, how to use and follow it and what excellent practice is made up of.

Weekly Wage

Working Week (Days and Hours)
We ask that you give the overall weekly hrs to be worked and also state if Mon-Friday includes weekends/shifts etc….. Also what is the day- to-s day hours. 08.30 -1600hrs / 40 hours over the working week (Monday-Friday) which is typically made up of 8 hour shifts each day.

About the Candidate
Skills Required / Candidates need to be passionate, hardworking and eager to learn and develop their skills within the nursery. Confidence and determination are essential with the ability to adapt quickly to new routines and surroundings. Candidates must be willing to work as part of a team and be willing to understand the roles and responsibilities of a busy working day nursery.

Important Other Information
Useful information regarding the role, anything you feel must be stated in more detail for example pay scale – pay increase – CRB check required. / Hourly rate is for the first year of the apprentice. If the contract is continued after one year, the rate of pay will be in line with the government’s national minimum wage.
