Youth Ministry Conference with Mark Yaconelli. Mark, our Missioner in Residence,is an internationally recognised Youth Ministry practitioner and writer and has been working within our diocese training youth workers. This conference will be an opportunity for others to get a flavour of the training Mark has been delivering. Come and be encouraged, inspired and challenged. The conference is free. Informal lunchtime concert of Spanish guitar music at St Peter's, Ruthin on 22 July at 12.30pm, given by Jonathan Richards. There is no admission charge but the audience is invited to bring their sandwiches, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and make a donation to the Mayor's charity, Wales Air Ambulance.

Summer concert by St Asaph Cathedral's Voluntary Choir - Saturday 23rd July at 7.30pm in the Cathedral. Tickets are £10, available at the door. The Gardens Of Llandegla will be open to the public under the National Gardens Scheme this coming Sunday – 24th July – from 2pm to 6pm. Tickets to the gardens that are open are £6, payable on the day, and include a mini bus to the outlying gardens where refreshments are served. Why not come along and see the gardens - one of which is The Rectory garden. Car parking is available in the village (LL11 3AW) just off the A5104 and A525. The NGS Open Gardens support various charities including MacMillan, Marie Curie etc.

Residential community organising training - Noddfa, Penmaenmawr, Tuesday 23rd August 6pm – Wednesday 24th August 6pm.

A 24 hour intensive community organising training, where participants will be challenged to become community leaders.

• Develop the skills and confidence to take community action.

• Learn how to plan and run strategic campaigns.

• Build relationships with others from diverse groups and communities

Communicating effectively for change - Sat 27th Aug, 10 – 3pm, Hope Parish Hall. Jointly organised with TCC and HOPE not hate.

Get the facts on refugees and immigration, and the confidence to have conversations in communities.

This training course is designed to give participants skills to effectively communicate with others on the challenging issues of immigration, asylum, diversity, and race. We will look at the techniques needed to communicate constructively around challenging issues, as well as how to bring others on board with a campaign or idea.

Survey on Housing an Ageing Population in Wales

In December 2015, an Expert Group on Housing an Ageing Population in Wales was established by the Welsh Government. The aim of the Group is to provide advice to the Welsh Government on the future policy direction in relation to housing an ageing population. The closing date to submit your views is Friday, 2nd September 2016.

The Cabinet Office, the Home Office and the FCO have this week issued a statement on the status of EU nationals currently resident in the UK; and given the number of clergy and other church-workers in the UK who are not UK nationals, it has been sent around to all churches. The last July informal concert at St Peter's Church, Ruthin will be given by John Hosking (St Asaph Cathedral). Friday 29th July at 12.30 p.m. John will play favourite organ pieces, including the Bach Toccata and Fugue in D minor and Pachelbel's 'Canon' and he will take requests from the audience.

Joint Church Service between St Cystennin’s Church and St Katherine’s Church, Llandudno Junction. Sunday, 31st July 2016, 11am at St Katherine’s Church, Bryn Pydew, Llandudno Juntion, LL31 9QA. Led by Revd Noel Carter. Following the Service there will be a bring and share lunch.

St Cystennin's church, Mochdre will be holding a Welsh service which with a Communion service at 3pm on 31st July. The service will be led by The Rev'd Glyn Thomas A warm welcome will be extended to all who appreciate the Welsh language, welsh first language speakers including welsh learners and non welsh speakers and any who wish to support the measures taken to bring Welsh language services back to this beautiful church.

St Mark's Connah's Quay is holding A Last Night at the Proms concert with the Deeside Silver Band on 4 September at 6pm. Tickets are £4 (no concessions) and can be booked either through or the Church Wardens.

The Feast Day of William Morgan - Saturday 10 September 2016. This day will be celebrated with a Festival Eucharist at 12noon in the Cathedral. During the service the William Morgan Bible will be out on display. A warm welcome is extended to all throughout the Diocese. Poster attached.
