The Joshua Pee Wee Football and Cheerleading Association (JPWFA) is a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization. We are members of the Brazos Valley Football Association. We develop sound and proficient athletes; to prepare them for advancement into the Joshua ISD athletic program. We build character and competitive spirit amongst our players and develop strong, physically fit young athletes. Our goal is to advance and promote the community of Joshua to other cities in North Texas. Our mission is to provide a competitive youth football organization which encourages and develops the fundamental skills and physical growth of young athletes by offering organized tackle football, flag football and cheerleading programs with the sole purposes of instruction and fun. Our motto is: “Protect the tradition, it starts here.” Through participation in our organization our youth are taught respect, sportsmanship, discipline, and have the opportunity for personal and social growth.
Our organization consists of flag football teams, tackle division football teams, and cheer squads. Approximately 200 to 250 children between the ages of 4 through 12 participate each season, which starts August 1st and runs through the last week of November. Our volunteer staff consists of a board of directors, parents, and football and cheer coaches. It is the dedication of our volunteers, support of our community, and donors such as you that keeps our organization running.
Funding a non-profit organization is a difficult task. We rely on registration fees, fundraisers, donation, and sponsorships to maintain our financial responsibilities and obligations. Our hard work and dedication to raise the necessary funds becomes more challenging every year. Our desire is to raise enough money to grant a reduced registration fee to qualifying players, whose parents are in financial hardship, and provide safe facilities, equipment, and uniforms for all our players and cheerleaders.
