OPEN HOUSE

Bring your family to the annual Saint Ignatius Open House! Enjoy a student-led tour of the school, meet faculty, and talk to representatives from all of our athletic teams and student clubs. Group tours of the school begin at 12:00 noon and depart every 20 minutes until 2:40 p.m. All tours begin at Holy Family Church at 1080 W. Roosevelt Road. Registration is not required and parking is available.

ENTRANCE EXAM

Any student seeking admission to Saint Ignatius College Prep must take the entrance exam at Saint Ignatius. Saint Ignatius gives the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Calculators are not allowed and there is no Science portion or writing sample. Students must bring no. 2 pencils and a $25 test fee. There is no registration for the entrance exam. Following the entrance exam, students will submit an online application.

The online application is accessible to all testers at www.ignatius.org starting December 2, 2017, and includes all remaining application requirements:

The submission of scanned 7th and 8th grade report cards and standardized test scores

Two electronic recommendations:

One Academic Recommendation from a current teacher, counselor, or your principal/assistant principal (Mandatory)

One Character Reference from another recommender of your choice (Optional)

A student can prepare to complete the online application by:

8th Grade Standardized Test Scores (Optional–If the student took a standardized test in only 7th OR 8th grade, he/she should submit whatever test scores are available.)

Considering who you wish to submit recommendations on your behalf. The Academic Recommendation and Character Reference are electronic recommendation forms emailed via the online application. In order to request a recommendation, you will simply need the email address of your desired recommender. Your academic recommender and character reference will receive an emailed link, directing them to an online recommendation form. Selected recommenders do not need to prepare a letter of recommendation. Upon completion, the recommendation form will be submitted directly to the Saint Ignatius Admissions Office. Each applicant is allowed one Academic Recommendation and one Character Reference.
