Meet our prospective teachers for FrassatiAcademy, LLC for school year 2009-2010

Christine LaLonde (co-founder of FrassatiAcademy) is a homeschooling mother of four for 18 years and a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. She is currently the Director of Early Learning Preschool. Moreover, she has been an adjunct Professor at The Art Center Design College and is the author of Science curriculum used at the college. Christine is a former administrator for three schools, a substitute teacher, conference presenter, former social services caseworker, and the VBS coordinator for St. Thomas Aquinas for twelve years. She has a B.A. in Behavioral Science and an M.A. in Psychology.

Janice Martinez ((co-founder of Frassati Academy) has taught Theology at St. Pius X High School for four years and is a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. Formerly, she taught elementary and middle school at St. Mary’s in Albuquerque and St. Thomas Aquinas in Rio Rancho. She has also conducted historical research in archives in Europe and was a graduate, teaching assistant at the University of New Mexico. She has one B.A. in French Literature and another B.A. in Education. Moreover, she has an M.A. in Modern European History from the University of New Mexicoand is finishing up another Master’s in Theology from CatholicDistanceUniversity. Janice can read French and Italian. She has been married for twelve

Christopher Hallada is the current director of Youth and Adult Ministry at Our Lady of Annunciation Parish. He was a Teaching Assistant at the English Department of the University of New Mexico and has received numerous honors and awards. Chris was also a Graduate Fellow for Outreach to Secondary Schools at the University of New Mexico, Institute for Medieval Studies. He has a B.A., magna cum laude, in English Literature and an M.A. in English with Medieval Concentration. Chris has reading knowledge of Medieval Latin, Old English and Icelandic.

Kerrie Senataught Math at St. Pius X High School for nine years. She has a BA in Education with endorsements in Mathematics and Business Technology from the College of Santa Fe. She has an MS in Computer Science from PurdueUniversity and a BS in Computer Science in Mathematics from NMSU. In 2006, she was named the Catholic Foundation Teacher of the Year. Before teaching, she worked in database design, system programming, software development and computer graphics. She organized over 50 judges for AnnunciationSchool’s Annual Science Fair. She is a member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish in Albuquerque, is married with four children and has recently become a

Anise Yarbrough is a mother of three and a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. She is a substitute teacher, a crisis pregnancy counselor, the Perpetual Adoration Coordinator at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish and an associate of St. Lucy Fillipini. She has been published in numerous journals including This Rock: Catholic Apologetics and Evangelization, and the Journal of the American Family Association. Moreover, she was the third place winner at the Southwest Writer’s Workshop in 1994. She has B.A. in University Studies with concentrations in Family Studies, Sociology and Psychology.

Elementary classes are $400.00 per course, per year. Middle School and High School Classes are $500.00 per course, per year. Monthly payment plans are available. There is a 10% discount for siblings. There is a $25.oo fee for the enrollment of your child, which is non-refundable, and will be applied toward the tuition. Though the state of New Mexico charges gross receipts taxes, in lieu of charging extra to cover this tax expense we are soliciting donations from Frassati families in order to purchase books for instructors. Your contributions would be greatly appreciated!
