GRIP Seminars Announces Move to Mooresville, North Carolina
Short Track Racers head to Dale Earnhardt, Inc. to “Get Racing’s In-Depth Perspective”
MOORESVILLE, NC – Short track drivers, crew chiefs and team members from across the country will have the opportunity to visit the heart of racing in Mooresville, NC as GRIP Seminars will set up at Dale Earnhardt, Inc. February 8-10, 2013.
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural GRIP Seminar, these seminars will offer a short track racers the opportunity to sit in on courses covering topics such as setup basics, tires, bump stops, shocks, geometry and more.
“Now that we’ve got the first seminar under our belt, we have a really good feel about what racers are looking for, and the type of information they find the most beneficial. We’ve tailored this upcoming seminar to allow all these great racers to come in, find the courses that matter the most to them and get as much information as possible in three days,” said Gary Crooks of Crooks Racing Inc. in Mooresville, NC.
By moving the seminar to Dale Earnhardt, Inc., a whole new level of in-depth instruction is available. “DEI is a state-of-the-art racing facility,” stated Crooks. “They are opening up their entire facility to GRIP so we can take a hands on look at the 7 post, shock dynos, pull down rig, surface plates – it’s all right there at our disposal.”
Additionally, Enders continued, “Since we are in Mooresville, we are in the process of getting some shops and places to open up to GRIP for our After Hours sessions – so that people who are coming in from out of town get the chance to check out the wind tunnel facility, or an engine shop. Places they might not have back in their hometowns.”
GRIP is designed to benefit teams from all forms of asphalt short tracking racing, from tracks all over the United States and Canada. “We had an amazing turnout in Portland for our first seminar,” added Jason Enders of RE Suspension, Inc. in Mooresville, NC. “Racers came in from Canada, from tracks all over the East Coast, all the way up from Florida. Through Facebook and the website, we’ve been able to keep up with how they’re doing this season, and our graduates have had some pretty great results.”
A graduate of GRIP recently posted on Facebook: “We at Team V racing want to thank you guys, we had a big day at Seekonk Speedway last night winning both the pro-stock race with Ryan Vanasse and the late model race with Bob Pelland. Thanks GRIP!”
Enrollment for the is open at www.GRIPSeminars.com. To assist racers in getting to GRIP, a Facebook Contingency Program has been initiated, awarding course credits to racers who display GRIP decals at their local tracks.
