On Sunday, June 8, 2014, from 2 to 4pm, Studio Montclair will host the artists’ opening reception at the Montclair Public Library forMethod, an art exhibition thatshowcases how each artist approaches the act of creation in a unique way. As curator, Susanna Baker explains, “We, as the viewer rarely get to see and appreciate this creative process.”

This show exploresthe works and methods of painter Catherine Kinkade, photographer Ananda Lima, painter/writer Jennifer Anne Moses, sculptor Gina Casolaro Murray, ceramicist Linda Vonderschmidt-LaStella, and mixed media artist Gail Watkins.Most of the participating artists will be in attendance. The reception is free and open to the public. The exhibition runs from June 3 through June 28 at the Montclair Public.

The exhibit was curated by Susanna Baker, an accomplished artist who has exhibited in many solo and group shows in New Jersey, New York City, and California. Her work method “spontaneously” incorporates drawing, printmaking, encaustic and painting.She received her BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design.

Studio Montclair Inc. is a non-profit organization of exhibiting professional artists and others interested in the visual arts. It aims to promote culture and education in the visual arts and encourage emerging artists. Founded in 1997, the organization has over 300 members, including artists from around the United States
