Research interests

Dr. Jin is mainly working on the study of atomic and electronic structures of low-dimensional materials, including CNTs, graphene and other 2D semiconductors, via advanced electron microscopy and spectroscopy, with particular focus on defect physics, growth mechanisms. His research efforts also cover the development and application of novel liquid-phase S/TEM and its applications on studying the dynamic processes of nano-objects in solutions. He has co-authored over 100 peer reviewed research papers, and delivered more than 50 invited talks since 2012. Currently he is serving as the Associate Editor of Materials Express, and the Executive Council Member of Chinese Society of Crystallography.
