Drama Course Syllabus Grades 7 & 8

Grade 7 & 8 Course Description:

Drama is team activity which involves students working together to develop drama skills and create performance pieces.

During the first 3 Quarters students from grades 7 & 8 are merged and complete a quarter of each fine art subject (Art, Music and Drama). For the 4th Quarter students are given the option to can choose their preferred fine art subject and, where possible, they are assigned to that subject

It is expected that Drama students at these grades will have brought forward basic skills from previous Drama classes, either at ISS or their previous school.

At the end of Quarters 1, 3 & 4 and the Christmas show in quarter 2 the students collaborate with other Drama students from Grades 6, and 9 & 10 to present their performance pieces. This is presented to a small audience (peers, parents and teachers). Following these events the students reflect on their performance and seek feedback from fellow students.
