ANTI BULLYING POLICY

I.Introduction

Each individual has the right to smell the beauty of nature, regardless of social standing in the community, no one would ever discriminate and judge of whoever we are. We are all created equally and blessed by God as human.

Linangkob National High School commits to take care of our students and always vigilant in giving importance of the child’s differences and not even to discomfit of their being human.

II. Objectives of this Policy

·  To let the teaching, non- teaching personnel and stakeholders of Linangkob NHS aware in creating a policy on bullying.

·  For them to take charge anytime bullying happens even with or without the presence of the school authority.

·  To give importance whenever bullying issue happens or raises.

III. Implementation

·  Schools

The following standard measures must be followed regarding bullying.

1.  When bullying happens the committee of CPC must entertain it immediately.

2.  To make it concise and clear recording and always use the bullying template for proper discussion.

3.  If the issue became serious and could not be resolved at the office of the school Head, the school authority will move the issue to the barangay council for proper decision and for punitive measures.

·  Students

Students who have been bullied will be supported by:

1.  Would be taking care first by the adviser or by the teacher present during the incidents

2.  Giving assurance of the students in order to eliminate inferiority complex.

3.  Offering continuous support.

4.  Restoring self-esteem and confidence.

Students who have bullied will be helped by:

1.  Any of the school authority or preferably the designated guidance counselor and Teacher adviser.

2.  Investigate the students on how they got involved on the issue.

3.  Let the student/s aware on the issue.

4.  Call the presence of the student/s

The following disciplinary steps can be taken:

1.  Official warnings to cease offending.

2.  Detention.

3.  Exclusion from certain areas of school premises.

4.  Minor fixed-term exclusion.

5.  Major fixed-term exclusion.

IV.Monitoring and Evaluation and Review

The school will review this policy annually and assess its implementation and effectiveness. The policy will be promoted and implemented throughout the school.

ANTI BULLYING POLICY

I.Introduction

All children and young people have the right to go about their daily lives without the fear of being threatened, assaulted or harassed. No one should underestimate the impact that bullying can have on a person’s life. It can cause high levels of distress, affecting young people’s well-being, behaviour, academic and social development right through into adulthood.

At Paglaum Elementary School, we are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of our pupils so they can learn in a relaxed and secure atmosphere free from oppression and abuse. Bullying is an anti social behaviour and affects everyone. All types of bullying are unacceptable at our school and will not be tolerated. All pupils should feel able to tell and when bullying behaviour is brought to our attention, prompt and effective action will be taken.

II. Objectives of this Policy

·  All teaching staff, pupils, parents, and stakeholders should have an understanding of what bullying is.

·  All teaching staff, pupils and parents, and stakeholders should know what the school policy is on bullying, and what they should do if bullying arises.

·  As a school we take bullying seriously. Pupils and parents should be assured that they will be supported when bullying is reported.

·  Bullying will not be tolerated.

III. Implementation

·  Schools

The following steps may be taken when dealing with incidents:

4.  If bullying is suspected or reported, the incident will be dealt with immediately by the member of staff who has been approached.

5.  A clear and precise account of the incident will be recorded and given to the head teacher.

6.  The head teacher will interview all concerned and will record the incident • Form tutors will be kept informed and if it persists the form tutor will advise the appropriate subject teachers • Parents will be kept informed.

7.  Punitive measures will be used as appropriate and in consultation with all parties concerned.

8.  If necessary and appropriate, police will be consulted.

·  Pupils

Pupils who have been bullied will be supported by:

5.  Offering an immediate opportunity to discuss the experience with a form tutor or a member of staff of their choice.

6.  Reassuring the pupil.

7.  Offering continuous support.

8.  Restoring self-esteem and confidence.

Pupils who have bullied will be helped by:

5.  Discussing what happened.

6.  Discovering why the pupil became involved.

7.  Establishing the wrong doing and the need to change.

8.  Informing parents or guardians to help change the attitude and behaviour of the child.

The following disciplinary steps can be taken:

11. Permanent exclusion.
