Summary of Mathematics, Literacy and Citizenship Objectives:

Tracy Elementary School Implementation Team reviewed the commendations and recommendations for the 2007-2008 school year. Through the process we were able to prioritize recommendations and develop action plans necessary to full-fill them. Emphasis was placed on the RtI Process. Through this process the staff has become familiar with administering and interpreting data along with utilizing strategic interventions to address student needs in reading. The implementation team is requesting that we address mathematics data/intervention prior to the initiation of behavioral needs as outlined in the protocols. This is our belief due to the fact that behavior should be addressed simultaneously within the process. Along with incorporating math into the process, we have a strong desire to see RtI integrated into 3rd and 4th grades. In order to meet the needs of the students through this process, additional staffing would be necessary.

The Implementation Team deems it necessary to survey the staff in regards to offering alternatives to holiday activities due to religious beliefs. With the data received, the team will determine a course of action in order to meet this goal.

Summary of Standards 1-12

Reflections on the Standards Committees and Accomplishments

The Implementation Team believes it is necessary to familiarize the students with the Student Friendly Mission Statement. Therefore, it will be read aloud weekly during the morning announcements beginning next school year (2008-2009). Our CTC established an Apple Core Team. This team is comprised of fourth grade students. Their responsibilities include: inventory of grade level carts, which include: laptops, digital cameras, power cords, digital video cameras and projectors. Team members return their log daily to the CTC any missing or damaged items will be addressed by the following day. Also in regards to technology, the IT Team has determined the need for additional lap top carts. The additional computers would allow for more flexibility in complying with district initiatives such as FASTT MATH, Math 24 and Study Island.

The Implementation Team is aware of the creation of the Facility Utilization Committee, which should address the need for instructional space, HVAC system, and parking for staff and visitors. However, we would like to issue of parking to be addressed with the additional space being provided for busses on the Tracy campus.
