Cockburn City Soccer Club would like to announce its upcoming trials for the 2015 season. The structure of football in Western Australia is changing for the 2014/ 2015 season with the implementation of the new National Premier Leagues (NPL) by Football West and The Football Federation Australia.
Cockburn City was proudly awarded a two year Licence for the NPL for 2014 after an intense application process receiving the highest percentage grade for our application of 98.9%. Cockburn was also named as one of only two South of the river based football clubs included in the 12 team league.This is a terrific achievement and one the committee worked tirelessly on.
Cockburn City has always focused on the development of our junior players to prepare them for the future to play either social, premier, State or to represent the Country. Since 2006 we have produced over 18 members to proceed to NTC (National Training Centre) 3 to AIS, over 13 represent the State and 4 to played for Australia. This is an realistic pathway from our juniors as we have had Ryan Edwards, Cameron Edwards, Harry O’Brien and Riley Woodcock all sign for A league club Perth Glory, Scott Galloway and Luke Radnovich to Melbourne Victory and Sam Mitchinson to Melbourne Heart all for the upcoming series. Cockburn City will have positions available in all those age groups in divisions which you can nominate for without attending trials, please send your expression of interest as these positions are limited. Under 12 NPL has been conducted internally from NPL trials and members who accepted Under 11’s 2014 and this will be the process for 2015 onwards. Club members need to become members in Under 7-Under 11 in 2015)

Under 13– Under 14 - 5.00pm– 6.30pm
Under 15– Under 16 - 6.45pm-8.00pm
Sundays times as follows;
Under 13– Under 14- 9.00am- 10.00am
Under 15– Under 16- 10.15am-11.45am

IMPORTANT;
- Please ensure you have shin pads, appropriate gear and 2 water bottles
- You must attend all 4 trials ( more if required and as directed)
- Parents are welcome to stay in bar area but are not permitted on the fields while the trial process commences
- All trials will be held at Beale Park, Cnr Hamilton Road and Spearwood Avenue, Spearwood
- Not all coaching positions are complete so if interested please send Heidi Lazzaro an email with a current resume and coaching accreditation.
